Hidden Horizons

Painted for when the road ahead might feel unclear, but you still know you are on the right track. For me, this piece embodies looking forward into the unwritten and being excited by it. Underneath the surface, worked into the first layers before the shape of it all came together, are the marks of the people this was made for - My family. I used small handprints and little drawings along with special words that mean only something to us to press into the skin of this artwork before the horizon took them forward.

A quick note on size, because I want you to have the right thing. A painting that looks generous on your phone can look a bit apologetic over a sofa (or the other way round). If you're unsure, send me a photo of where you want it to go and I'll help you work it out. Reach out here to get started.

I'm Jade, and I paint on the Essex/Cambridgeshire border. Every piece starts with slowing down and sitting with a feeling or a memory. Then I build up layers of texture and colour until the light feels right. More about me here.
