About these terms

These terms govern the purchase of original artworks from Jade Boswell (sole trader, UK) through jadeboswell.com. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

Commission agreements are handled separately under a bespoke client contract and are not fully governed by these terms, though the general principles below apply where relevant.

Ordering

All artwork listed on this site is original, one-of-a-kind work. Availability is subject to change. We will confirm your order by email once payment has been received.

Prices are listed in GBP. Shipping is added at checkout.

Payment

Payment is taken at the point of purchase via Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your payment details. Alternatively, payment by invoice is available for those who prefer to pay by bank transfer or other method — contact almacarastudio@gmail.com to arrange this before purchasing. Prices are listed in GBP.

Shipping

UK shipping is added at checkout at a flat rate of £12 (smaller works) or £25 (larger works). Shipping costs are non-refundable. Free collection is available by prior arrangement — please email almacarastudio@gmail.com before purchasing to arrange a collection time. EU and international shipping is available on request; please contact us before purchasing for a quote. Any import duties, taxes, or customs charges are the responsibility of the buyer.

Intellectual property

Purchasing an artwork gives you ownership of the physical piece only. Copyright in the artwork — including the right to reproduce, exhibit commercially, or create derivative works — remains with Jade Boswell unless explicitly transferred in writing.

You may photograph the artwork for personal use and share images on social media, with credit to @jadesart.

Commissions

Commission terms are outlined in a separate agreement at the time of booking. General principles:

• A deposit is required to secure the commission and confirm the brief
• Work begins once the deposit has cleared
• The balance is due before the finished piece is shipped or collected
• Commissioned works are non-refundable once the brief has been agreed and work has begun, except in cases where the finished piece materially departs from what was agreed

Damage in transit

Every piece is photographed before dispatch. If your artwork arrives damaged, please photograph both the packaging and the damage within 24 hours of receipt and contact us at almacarastudio@gmail.com. We will work with you to resolve this promptly.

Limitation of liability

Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the artwork in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Governing law

These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
