Afterglow – Duo of Statement Abstract Paintings

That last warmth in the sky after the sun has slipped away - the part of the day so many people forget to look at as they rush by. Afterglow is a diptych, painted in conversation with each other, building one larger feeling across the wall. Layers of warm light pulling into deeper tones, the way the sky actually moves when no one is watching it closely. This piece feels different in the morning and evening light as the colours melt and build with the setting rays.

A quick note on size, because I want you to have the right thing. A painting that looks generous on your phone can look a bit apologetic over a sofa (or the other way round). If you're unsure, send me a photo of where you want it to go and I'll help you work it out. Reach out here to get started.

I'm Jade, and I paint on the Essex/Cambridgeshire border. Every piece starts with slowing down and sitting with a feeling or a memory. Then I build up layers of texture and colour until the light feels right. More about me here.
